Navigating the Future – Advancing Health, Safety and Compensation in Today’s Workplace
Lower injury rates and strong investment performance have greatly enhanced the financial stability of the workplace health, safety and compensation system in Newfoundland and Labrador. To achieve even greater reductions in the injury rate, all workplace parties will be challenged to be innovative in their approaches to safety management and leadership. Evolving policies and increased awareness of mental health provide new opportunities for health and safety program development. At the same time, changing demographics and the general economic environment require a focused effort by WorkplaceNL and its stakeholders to ensure a responsive and financially stable workers’ compensation system.
Please join Dennis Hogan, Chief Executive Officer, WorkplaceNL for a presentation on how the organization plans to navigate the future and enhance its performance and client services for injured workers and employers. Topics will include enhancements to client benefits, mental stress in the workplace and the new provincial Injury Prevention Strategy.
