Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, clients, vendors, event planners, tourism leaders, and others to ensure seamless event execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and reputation within the community.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage event budgets, invoicing, logistics, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure that resources are used effectively to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients and guests.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with the local community to promote participation in our events and secure sponsorships and support.
- Foster a sense of community spirit and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the event planning and execution process.
Communication and Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related communications, both internal and external.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity to ensure effective interaction with diverse audiences.
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee all aspects of event management, from initial planning to post-event evaluation.
- Coordinate logistics, including the delivery of event materials and financial transactions, with precision and attention to detail.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, event management, travel and tourism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in event coordination or a similar role.
- Proven ability to coordinate events of varying scales and complexities.
- Calm under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and detail oriented.
- Budget management experience.
- Familiarity with event management software.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and adapt to changing conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a track record in sales, marketing and promotion.
- Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of legal compliance related to event management.
- Commitment to community service and sustainable event practices.
