About Us

Avalon Employment is a not for profit that has been offering services for individuals with disabilities looking for employment since 1992.


Our organization and its team of diversity and inclusion professionals seek to:

- Identify, promote, and support priorities for sustainable long term employment;

- Identify employment opportunities across the region as requested by clients;

- Influence government policies, regulations and programs to improve the climate for long term employment of individuals with barriers to employment; and,

- Support and provide on going maintenance as required to ensure the continued employment of our clients.


Our employment services include our Autism Employment Program and Supported Employment Program, where our staff work to help individuals build employable skills, finetune their resumes, and prepare for interviews as they seek the perfect employment match. We are also the Regional Hub for MentorAbility Canada, a program that provides unique mentorship experiences for job seekers looking to match with a professional from their industry of interest. Avalon Employment’s ultimate goal is to assist individuals in the community in making long term employment connections that benefit job seekers and local businesses alike.
